Dubai's First Gourmet Food Market Opens at Oasis Centre

The Hospitality Division of Landmark Group has launched a novel retail F&B concept, Gourmet Station – a venture designed to celebrate the spirit of traditional food markets and to offer a wide range of gourmet products catering to the contemporary shopper and chef alike.

The first Gourmet Station store spanning 6,500 sq.ft. is now open on Level 3 of the new Oasis Centre. The launch event was attended by Michael Romero, General Manager of Gourmet Station along with senior managers of the company.

Also present at the launch event were leading gourmet specialists who took the guests on a culinary journey of the store introducing them to premium products that are now on the shelves of Gourmet Station.

At the launch event, Gourmet Station’s exquisite range of single- estate coffees was introduced by Justin Clarke, founder and CEO of Orbis Foods. Clark supplies and specially roasts coffees for Gourmet Station. Vahe Tuysuzian, owner of Tea for Life, is the man behind the rare teas selection at Gourmet Station. He gave guests the taste of some rare teas on that day, like the Jasmine Dragon Pearls.

Chocolatier Daniel S Hutmacher the exclusive supplier of hand made artisan chocolates at Gourmet Station chose the day to unveil to the selection of gourmands his latest range of chocolates specially created for the region – Taste of Arabia.

Mark Allen from Wet Fish was introduced as the man who delivers fresh wild salmons, halibuts and other seafood specialties from various parts of Europe and Asia to the store every day. Allen had so long been supplying only to top five star hotels in the city. This fish monger also supplies fish food for the now famous sharks and dolphins at the Atlantis.

Representing Gourmet Station’s Butchery department was Andrea Capoccia who supplies 1824 Beef to the store. At the stage of selecting the specialty products, the team at Gourmet Station traveled to Australia with Capoccia to source the best of Australian grain-fed and kobe beef.

Award-winning, former Executive Chef of J W Marriott, Dubai, Ingo Maass also launched his cook book New Arabian Cuisine, which will now be available at Gourmet Station. Iranian Caviar specialist Delphine; Will & Gehan from Voss water also added to the special gourmet morning.
