So, I have been on the mountain @ summer camp for 8 weeks...thanks for all the emails & invites while I was away!I just had internet turned on here the other day and I will make time to reply and join all the groups. If you're ever offered a job to cook for 35 screamin tweeners @ a summercamp....SAY NO! Haha, I had a great time workin 6am - 8pm 5 days a week. The kiddos were a blast to cook for, but even though they eat 6 times a day they were still always hungry.Telling them dinner was liver&onions and brussels sprouts everyday kinda wore old with them pretty quickly...I think they were planning to get me back, but ran out of time.

I have worked mostly in southern Vermont and New Hampshire. I was taking a break from the business but have dicided to run the food service at a summer camp for tweens. It should be quite interesting.

Did I mention this is 3 meals a day...6 days a week? Haha, I do have Saturdays off! That is a FIRST in the world of cooking for me...a Saturday off...

Wow, I just accepted an offer to cook for 35 kids between 8 & 14 yrs old at a summer camp! I have done a lot of banquet functions for stuffy old men, but a bunch of screamin' tweens? What have I gotten myself into? My 6 1/2 yr old daughter thinks it's funny.
