Personal

About Me
I was first interested in cooking and entertaining when I spent time with my Grandparents on their farm in northern Iowa. I learned so much about growing and cooking with fresh ingredients from my family. Iowa is the best place for sweet corn and muscatine melons. However over the years I have had to work as a med tech to make ends meet. I did have a small catering business in Omaha Nebraska from 1996 to 1998. I loved entertaining and was really making a name for myself when I had to move back to Des Moines to be near my family as my dad was ill. I went back to work in the hospital and did side jobs for people I knew. Then after 12 1/2 years of marriage I divorced my husband and moved to California. Crazy as it sounds it is the best thing that could've happened. I have my soulmate and 13 dogs who all lovemy cooking. I am thinking of starting a line of dog food and treats and a line of seasonings and mixes for the humans.
