When people are allowed to enter a main convention tasting hall, they tend to stop at the first thing they see that interests them, which leads to a bottle neck in the front, and the back being empty. Go to the back first, unless you like squeezing in between people only to find the sample you were aiming for is gone and the chef you wanted to touch base with is clearly too busy to chat right now.
